Is Draping Required?

According to Florida Regulations in the Board of Massage Therapy, draping is required at all times. We will be ignoring any requests for anything that opposes this regulation.  Don’t waste your time, we won’t be wasting ours. Any sexual hinting during the massage is unacceptable and prohibited. The session will be ended if you do not comply. You will still be charged for the full session.

Do I need to shave before my massage?

It does not matter to the therapist, this is something that goes unnoticed so don’t worry about it!

How clean should I be for a massage?

Showering that same day is preferred. When you are clean, oils/lotion and any ointments we may use will be better absorbed.

What clothing do I have to remove?

This one is really up to you. You can undress to your comfort level and you will remain draped the entire time during the massage. If you are having lower back pain/sciatica/leg issues, it will be best to remove your underwear though, because glute massages are ailments to these kinds of issues.

Should I talk during my massage or stay quiet?

This one is also up to you! If you are asking our therapists a question or bringing up a topic, they will speak to you. But we do understand that you have the intentions of relaxing, so we won’t talk unless you do.

How do I (politely) let a massage therapist know that what they’re doing doesn’t feel good?

As we are beginning the massage, we will tell you to speak up when anything feels uncomfortable or excessively painful. What you can say is “that’s a little too much pressure” or “that area is too tender to be worked on.” We would much rather you tell us during the massage instead of leaving sore and unhappy. That way you will leave getting what you requested. We want to leave our clients satisfied!

Am I supposed to tip my therapist? If so, how much?

A 15–20% tip is appropriate and much appreciated. And remember: if the massage is discounted, you should tip 15–20% of the full price, not the discounted price.

What type of payments do we accept?

We don’t accept personal checks. We accept cash and debit cards ( a $2 transaction fee will be charged.)

What kind of information should I share with my massage therapist before my massage begins?

In order to get the most out of your massage, be as specific as possible about anything that is related with pain, surgeries, esthetic treatments, or big health concerns. Information about daily activities is also helpful.
